Top Ten things you should know about North Yarmouth Fun Day 2010

10.   North Yarmouth Fun Day 2010 will be held at the Village Green next to Westcustogo Hall on Saturday, August 28. You do NOT have to be a resident of North Yarmouth to attend or contribute.

 9.    We will be honoring the 2010 Distinguished Citizen of the Year. If you would like to nominate a North Yarmouth resident who has served the community as a volunteer, please contact Darla Hamlin (darla@softtrac.com or 221-0340) or download the form at www.nymeevents.com.

 8.    If you would like to buy an ad for the Fun Day program, please email Anne-Marie McKenzie (ammckenzie@maine.rr.com) before July 1. The program book is mailed to every household in North Yarmouth about a week before Fun Day.

 7.    We are looking for more organizations/businesses/scout troops/church groups/neighbors/friends/etc. to volunteer to staff our children's games. If you sign up before July 1, your crew will be credited in the Fun Day Program AND get free T-shirts. Please contact Jason Raven (mr.corvus@gmail.com or 829-9393).

 6.    If you are interested in renting a table to sell your wares or promote your cause, please contact Jason Raven (mr.corvus@gmail.com or 829-9393). Tables are $35 each. The deadline to be listed in the program is July 1.

 3.    This year instead of a road race on the morning of Fun Day, we are planning a running/biking/canoeing triathlon for Sunday, August 29. We need a lot of volunteers for this event, so please contact Jim Faunce (jfaunce@maine.rr.com) if you are able to help or want more information.

 1.    Fun Day is organized by the North Yarmouth Events Committee (www.nymeevents.com). Producing this event is a real labor of love for the committee, but we could not do it without the folks who buy program ads, rent tables, serve food, volunteer their time, and (most of all) show up to share in the fun!
